We love those moments when KATO Blues FACES becomes the first stop on a band’s tour — the place where everything begins. And this time it was exactly the same: the frost didn’t stop anyone, because when Michał Kielak and Kuba Andrzejewski appear on stage, you know something special is about to happen.
The evening promoting the album “Historie” quickly turned into a gathering of people who truly want to listen — and truly want to be together. Harmonica, guitar, stories between the sounds… and an audience that from the very first piece felt they were part of something more than just a concert.
Michał Kielak is one of the most recognizable figures on the Polish blues scene — a harmonica virtuoso, winner of many awards, an artist who with a single note can transport the listener to a completely different world. His style is distinctive: full of emotion, yet extremely precise and deeply rooted in musical tradition.
Kuba Andrzejewski is a guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter who combines blues tradition with modern sensitivity. His playing is both delicate and full of fire, and his storytelling is sincere, unpretentious, and remarkably close to the listener.
Together, they form a duo that does not need elaborate stage design or complex production. A harmonica, a guitar, and truth are enough — and they have plenty of it.
The duo’s new album is a collection of stories woven from experiences, encounters, and emotions. “Historie” is not just a title — it is a promise. Outside, it was cold — truly cold — but inside the club, the atmosphere could have melted ice on the sidewalks. People came despite the weather, despite everyday matters, despite everything. They came because they knew it was worth it. From the first bars, it was clear that this was not a concert where someone “plays” and someone “listens.” It was a meeting. A shared experience. A shared breath with the music.
