The 40th Anniversary of Adam Kulisz at KATO Blues FACES — an evening full of emotions, music, and beautiful stories!
On Friday evening at KATO Blues FACES, we celebrated the 40th anniversary of the artistic career of Adam Kulisz — one of the most important figures of Silesian blues, an artist who for four decades has given this genre its sound, character, and authenticity.
It was at our venue that the premiere of a book dedicated to his musical journey took place — a publication documenting forty years of creativity, concerts, encounters, and stories written through music.
The atmosphere was truly special from the very first moments. Friends, musicians, fans, and people who have accompanied Adam throughout his artistic path over the years gathered at KATO Blues FACES to celebrate together.
One of the important moments of the evening was the reading of a congratulatory letter from the Mayor of Katowice, Marcin Krupa, who highlighted Adam Kulisz’s tremendous contribution to the cultural development of Katowice and the entire region. This symbolic distinction further emphasized the significance of the jubilee.
There was also a ceremonial cake — a beautiful and sweet touch to the celebration.
One of the highlights of the evening was a conversation with Adam Kulisz, hosted by Editor Chirowski. It had everything: humor, anecdotes, backstage stories, memories from tours and recording sessions, as well as reflections on four decades in the world of music. The audience listened with complete attention — because it was the story of a man who lives through music and for music.
After the official part came what matters most in Kulisz’s world — the music.
Boogieman and Damian Wowra appeared on stage, creating a duo that captivated the audience from the very first notes. Their concert was the essence of blues: honesty, energy, and emotion reaching straight to the heart.
It was a performance that perfectly concluded this extraordinary evening — full of fire, passion, and artistic freedom.
The 40th anniversary of Adam Kulisz at KATO Blues FACES was not only a celebration of his achievements, but also a tribute to Silesian blues and the people who create it. For years, Adam Kulisz has been one of the pillars of this scene — an artist who consistently builds its identity, promotes it in Poland and abroad, and inspires future generations with his music.
It was a perfect evening.
And we are proud that it happened right here — at KATO Blues FACES.
