Blues Top is an annual poll of the readers of Twój Blues magazine, in which the audience selects the most important phenomena of the past year: artists, albums, festivals, events, and media figures documenting the scene. It is a kind of barometer of listeners’ emotions — showing what in Polish blues moved them the most and who left the strongest mark in their memory over the past months.
This year, the results were announced on January 26 at 7:00 PM during the program “Historie bluesem pisane” hosted by Andrzej Matysik, broadcast live from KATO Blues FACES. In this unique space — a gallery, a club, a meeting place, and a hub of musical stories — blues once again brought people together, and the audience celebrated the most important moments of 2024.
It was here that something truly special happened. The greatest joy of the evening was the news that “Blues jest kobietą” and KATO Blues FACES won the title of Event of the Year 2025. This distinction carries special weight, as it is awarded by the audience — those who attend concerts, follow the scene, support artists, and create the atmosphere without which blues would not exist. For us, it is a double victory and a great honor. Especially since the Blues jest kobietą festival largely took place at KATO Blues FACES — a place that became a shared space, home, and stage for this project. This success is therefore shared, double, and highly symbolic.
