The Silesian Blues Walk of Fame is a unique project created to honor the most important blues artists and bands connected to our region. It is the first space in Poland that celebrates the history of Silesian blues in such a symbolic and modern way — a music that for decades has helped shape the identity of Katowice and the entire Silesia region.

Along Staromiejska Street, bronze plaques are being installed to commemorate outstanding creators. Each plaque is cast according to an individual design and embedded in the sidewalk, creating a lasting, elegant, and visible mark of remembrance. It is a tribute to the musicians who have set the rhythm for this city — and to those who continue to do so today.

The Walk of Fame combines tradition with modernity. Each plaque features a dedicated QR code that leads to a special webpage, where visitors can learn about the artist’s story, view archival materials, and — most importantly — listen to their music. This makes the Walk not only a visual experience but also an auditory one.

This is a long-term and evolving project — with each passing year, the Walk will grow with new names, creating a living map of Silesian blues. It is a place for meetings, inspiration, and discovering history, enriching public space and fostering pride in local culture.
