This is what the KATO Blues FACES special tasks team looks like. A little tired, but immensely satisfied and genuinely happy. Behind us are nine exceptionally intense and beautiful days of celebrating the European Blues Challenge Katowice 2026 — days that are hard to describe in just a few sentences, yet will stay with us for a long time.
The whole blues Europe passed through Staromiejska Street. Guests from many countries said one thing: they were delighted and want to return to Katowice. For us, that is the greatest compliment.
The program had everything: concerts, a radio broadcast, a book promotion, the unveiling of another star and plaque, playing together, dancing, moving moments, and laughter. It turned out better than we planned. Better than we imagined. And the audience — despite the extended hours — stayed with us from the moment the doors opened until late at night. The amount of warm words, conversations, and meetings gave us energy every single day. Thanks to you, this celebration had such an extraordinary atmosphere. Together we showed that Katowice is the European capital of blues. And we are truly proud of our city.
The weather turned out to be perfect — this time we would not have fit inside KATO Blues FACES. Everyone may explain it in their own way, but we know one thing: the gentlemen who are with us in the photo in the background took care of that most important detail. They did everything to make these days exceptional. We felt their presence and support the entire time.
Behind us is a celebration that showed the strength of community, music, and passion. And what’s next? Another concert already this Sunday — and we will meet again. And May promises to be exceptionally beautiful and exceptionally full of blues. We can’t wait.
